Replacement #11a planted in 2018

In August 2016 Stephen Loyd, WDVTA Tree Warden Coordinator reported concerns about the health of Jubilee Tree #11 - it had lost its leaves and appeared stressed but was still alive. In May 2017 Linda Martin, WDVTA Woodley coordinator, reported further concerns about the tree’s condition. In September Dr Glyn Percival of Bartlett Tree Research laboratories found a number of infected wounds at the base of the trunk and recommended replacement. Barcham Tree Nurseries, the original providers, kindly agreed to replace the tree at no cost even though the guarantee had run out. In March 2018 Heartwood Tree Surgery planted the new tree in a different location. The tree now completes a triangle with Jubilee trees #12 and #13 both of which continue to flourish.
