Using the Garmin eTrex H

eTrex-H

The Garmin eTrex H handheld GPS

The WDVTA recommends the eTrex H because of its high sensitivity and 10-figure OS display. The WDVTA has prepared a short guide on using the device for displaying, storing and retrieving OS grid references.

It is possible to enter an OS grid reference into the device so you can let it guide you to the location by following the direction indicated by the pointer. This can be useful during verification when you have the grid reference from the database and want to find the tree.
